Three Six Five Days on Paper is an artwork which takes the form of a meticulously hand-crafted artist's book. This work documents and echoes the period from October 2020 - September 2021, a unique moment in contemporary history which included the lead-up to the 2020 US election and its aftermath, the path through the pandemic, climate catastrophes, threats to democracy, efforts to correct racial injustices, and geopolitical manoeuvring. While the health emergency of the Covid pandemic has largely receded from public awareness, many of the issues that were seeded during this time remain ongoing and unresolved.

This artwork combines a continuous abstract drawing completed each day of the year straddling 2020 - 2021, with a single headline from the that day's New York Times. The combination of the drawing with the news connects the personal, lived experience with the political upheaval of a society, marking a small and daily act of resistance to the volatility and constant march of the news cycle.

A global collaboration between Nina and Between Lines, with drawings and design done in Sydney and New York, art production and printing in Sydney and Berlin, Three Six Five Days on Paper is simultaneously an art object and an archive. The final work takes the form of a hand-signed two-volume book and a 1/1 print - each book set is a numbered edition of 365, one copy for each day of the year, and includes a separate unique print of the drawing from that date. Thus, when purchasing a copy, a collector chooses a specific day from the year. More images of the work can be found at THREE SIX FIVE DAYS DOCUMENTATION
